Against the backdrop of the increasing development of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, Copyright protection organization - association of authors of works of fine arts, architecture and visual components of audiovisual works, z. s. (OOA-S) exercises on behalf of its members its right to opt-out the effects of extended collective management in accordance with §39d of the Copyright Act. With effect from May 15th 2025 the data mining of works of authors represented by OOA-S by entities developing artificial intelligence tools will require prior authorisation from OOA-S in order to ensure fair remuneration for the authors it represents.
